LED Lamps with Both Proper Color Rendering Index and Large Gamut Area for Historical Site Lighting

  Compared with modern buildings,Chinese historical sites have more abundant colors,which require light sources for their lighting have high color qualities.Because of its own characteristics,LED lamps cant show the color rendering performance matching the data in the color rendering evaluation index which is widely used now.In order to solve the above problems caused by narrow LED spectrum.In this paper.A method to improve the color rendering performance of existing commercial LEDs lamps by superimposing monochrome light to optimize the spectrum is demonstrated.By numerical calculation,the gamut became larger after added monochromatic light with 400-480 nm and 610-680 nm.Based upon this,the lamps added 460 nm LED lamp and 650 nm LED lamp was made respectively.Finally,visual experiments on the trial-manufactured LEDs lamps are carried out to verify the practical effects on improving the color rendering ability in Chinese ancient buildings.
