A Study of the Poetic Interaction Between Keats and Wordsworth--Taking“ Ode to a Nightingaleas an Example
Keatss poetic style is quite typical among the Romantic poets, which is essentially forged by his own efforts and devotion, but inseparable from his interaction with the precursors and peers, among who,Wordsworth, the father of Romanticism, interacted with him though less in life but much in poetry.Keats not only reads his poetry carefully, but publically expresses his own worship of the former. He excels in depiction of vegetation and birds-nightingale as an example triggered by Wordsworth, and also deviates from such an precursor in interweaving the non-christian elements into his poetry. However,in contrast with his precursor,he develops the style of multi-religions to express his own sympathy. Therefore, such interaction contributes to the formation of his poetic style and exposes,to certain extent, the relationship of his contextual state, personal situation and his poetry composition.
