Developmental Sequences in L2 Phonology:Acquisition of sC Clusters and Codas by Mandarin Chinese Speakers

  In this paper,the author attempts to analyze the phonological developmental sequences by contrastive analysis(CA).More specially,the acquisition of homorganic/s/plus consonant onset clusters(sC)and word-final obstruent codas by Mandarin Chinese(MC)speakers.Also,this paper proposes the research through three instructional possibilities from a pedagogical perspective to explore the development of foreign or second language(L2)phonology that follows a“natural orderof acquisition or developmental sequence.
