An Innovative Language Teacher Education Model with Flipped Classroom Approach
With globalization of international economy and rapid development of educational technology,foreign language teacher education has entered the Postmodernist period.Based on the characteristics of English teacher education in College of Humanities and Sciences of Northeast Normal University,this paper aims to construct an innovative education model: the Flipped Classroom which is based on the requirements of National Teacher Education Curriculum Standards and integrated with courses provided by the platform--National Program of Web-Delivery for Elaborate Courses(NPWDEC)as its online learning recourses.The Flipped Classroom model as a disruptive innovation for the university might greatly change the traditional teacher-centred learning model,increase pre-service teacherslearning motivation and improve their professional competence.
