How to Tackle The Critical Problems Facing Chinas Foreign Language Education Today

　　Foreign language is closely related to every aspect of national development.Against the background of globalization and the Belt and Road Initiative,the importance of foreign language education is self-evident.It should be pointed out that there are some problems facing Chinas foreign language education.They need to be solved with creative idea,appropriate methods and effective measures in the new era.Currently,the following relations are expected to be focused on: input-output ratio,educational objective and social needs,general English(GE)and English for Specific Purposes(ESP),common languages and non-common languages,foreign language education and native culture,Chinas foreign language education and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language,etc.so that the cultural security is ensured,the economic prosperity promoted,social progress made,and the national and global development realized.
