Interpretation Education from the Perspective of Intercultural Communication

  This paper explores the relationship between interpretation and intercultural communication from a theoretical point of view,and tries to clarify the interface between interpreting education in universities and intercultural communication education.After analyzing the problem of the traditional interpretation education model,a new paradigm of interpreting education,the“3D Model,is discussed.This model clearly shows the target for interpreting training,making it possible to set the curriculum apart from the“Sink or Swimapproach by providing a curriculum in light of the lower goals to be achieved for each target.
