Numerical Analysis on Load Sharing Characteristics of Multistage Face Gears in Planetary Transmission
Planetary transmission devices that use multistage face gears comprise structural components such as bevel gears, cylindrical gears, and face gears.Because of the novel structure and innovative operating principle of variable speed transmissions, inevitably, there are some problems such as manufacturing, installation errors and need for geometric parameter optimization. Therefore,it is necessary to study the static and dynamic load sharing characteristics of the planetary system to improve the transmission reliability under variable speed conditions. In this study, the calculating methods of the static and dynamic load sharing coefficients are studied by constructing the dynamic structure model and moment equilibrium equation. The influences of the manufacturing and installation errors on the load sharing coefficient among the various stages of the transmission system are analyzed. The influences of various component errors on the dynamic load sharing characteristics under the conditions of different stages with various speeds are studied by the dynamic response analysis. The influence of working condition, physical, and geometric parameters on the load sharing characteristics are analyzed. The results are beneficial in reducing the vibration and noise of the planetary transmission caused by uneven load distribution. They also provide a theoretical basis for improving the stability and loading capacity.
