Car Radiator Upper Beam Stamping Process Design and Numerical Simulation
The car radiator upper beam is one of the most important parts of car but its shape is complex and the stamping deformation regular is difficult to grasp.Through the process analyzing of the car radiator upper beam,four processes of the parts stamping and forming are designed.Based on the Autoform software,numerical simulations are performed on the drawing forming of part and the overall forming performance and the thinning rate of the material in the sheet metal forming process are analyzed and the cracks,wrinkles,and other defects that may occur in the sheet metal forming process are predicted and the thinning rate of the parts at local locations exceeds 20%,and there is a risk of cracking and the forming deficiencies are improved by adjusting the fillet radii at 5 positions.Finally,the production is carried out according to the design process and the qualified radiators upper beam parts are manufactured.
