The Stylistic Features in Hemingways Soldiers Home
Hemingway is famous for his unique writing style.In Soldiers Home,he adopts various stylistic methods to illustrate what had happened to the hero and what made him change so drastically.In the short fiction,Hemingway deliberately utilized parallelism of sentences and phrases to show the backgrounds of the story and the heros changed attitudes toward life,the repetition of sentences foregrounds the heros feelings after war,the irony between the title and content of the story to manifest vividly the great influence caused by the war on peoples spirit.These stylistic features make the short story an everlasting and typical one among all his works.
