A Study of Applying Task-Based Language Teaching to College English Listening Teaching

  Teaching listening is one of the difficulties in college English teaching.At present,there are many problems in the practical listening class.As a result,the listening ability of students is rather weak.Task-Based Language Teaching(TBLT)has been an influential theory in foreign language teaching field over the past 30 years.It is a teaching method that puts a task at the center of the pedagogical focus.It requires students to engage in the interaction in order to fulfill the task.It emphasizes the concept of “learning by doing and “doing things by using language.The thesis attempts to apply TBLT to college English listening teaching and analyze the effectiveness of this approach.
