Review and Implications of the Research on Pre-Service English Teachers Beliefs

  The research of belief,one of the criteria to test the effects of teacher education,has been the most valuable and important part of teacher education.This paper takes the papers in the journals in CNKI as samples to make an analysis of the status,contents and characteristics of the research on pre-service English teachers beliefs(PETB)in our country.It finds that the research on PETB from 2013 to 2015 showed a rising trend,but it has not received attention of the core journals.There are 5 major fields in PETB: the research of the connotation of PETB,the research of pre-service English teachers language teaching and learning beliefs,the research of practicum affecting PETB,the comparative study of PETB and in-service English teachers beliefs,and the cultivation of PETB and professional development.It also refers to all kinds of research objects and all of the fields of the contents and comprehensive research methods,however,there is still a lot to be improved in the systematicness,practicability and the depth and range of the research.Finally,the paper gives some suggestions on PETB on the basis of the international research focus.
