Photocatalytic property of ferroelectric materials

摘要：

Ferroelectric materials are old materials,which already widely used as memory,sensor,motor,etc.Different from these traditional applications,we tried to apply these important features of ferroelectricmaterials to solve more problems:treat it as a photocatalyzer is one of our recent practices.The key idea is to usepolarization to block the recombination between photoelectrons and photogenerated hole.But most ferroelectricmaterials have wide bandgaps which is bad for light absorption.Here we have devised a series of strategies toimprove their utilization of light.These encouraging findings prove we can improve the photocatalyticperformances of perovskite oxides,which will promote many related photochemical applications.
