Assembled triangular unit to transfer chirality from two to three dimensions

1 General Introduction If an object can be distinguished from its mirror image,it can be considered as a chiral structure.2D chiral lattices,have been deeply developed and studied due to some special mechanical characteristics,such as negative Poissons ratio and negative effective bulk modulus 12.With the advances in manufacturing technology and composite materials,the concept of chirality has been introduced to design 3D lattices 34,which will obtain more functions including tension-twist coupling behavior and size effect and show great applications potentials.
