Base isolation system using electromagnetic shunt dampers

摘要：

Electromagnetic Shunt Damper(EMSD) embraces increasing public interest owning to its unique characteristics over conventional damper types.This is primarily brought by the fact that EMSD converts kinetic energy into electrical energy instead of heat as seen in conventional dampers,enabling potential energy harvesting ability and preventing damper overheating problems.
