Topical delivery system functionalized with astragaloside Ⅳ induces wound healing and anti-scar effects
Wounds represent a major health burden and drain on resources.We have been directed to screening and developing products that are effective in both accelerating wound healing and preventing scars.Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), such as astragaloside Ⅳ, could accelerate wound healing and reduce scars.In this study, we demonstrate that loading astragaloside Ⅳ into a suitable pharmaceutical carrier,a silk fibroin/gelatin (SF/GT) nanofibrous wound dressing, with good stability and biocompatibility,cound achieve controlled release and significantly increase angiogenesis, regulate newly formed types of collagen, as well as improve collagen organization to promote healing and elicit anti-scar effects.
