The accelerated blood clearance (ABC) phenomenon of PEGylated emulsions can be eliminated by long interval or multiple repeated injections

　　Repeated injection of PEGylated liposomes could sharply enhance the blood clearance of the second injection, and increase the accumulated amount of nanocarries in the liver, this phenomenon was named accelerated blood clearance (ABC).In the present study, the immune tolerance model of PEG was established in beagles by different dosage regimens including daily continuous injections(from 5 days to 120 days) and weekly continuous injections.The results demonstrated that no ABC phenomenon was observed on this model after the daily injections over a period.The weekly continuous injections could create anergic immune state with less injections numbers at the same time compared with daily continuous injections, and this model was more compliant for animals and had good stability.
