The preparation and evaluation of HB-S1O0 solid dispersion

　　Solid dispersion of berberine hydrochloride (HB)with Eudragit(R) S 100 (S100) were prepared by a solvent evaporation method and was applied to improve colon-targeting characteristics of berberine.Based on the main evaluating index dissolution in vitro, the ratio of HB and S100 was screened and optimized to 1:4.Through systematic investigations, the solid dispersion formation of HB-S100 was identified by FTIR, DSC showed that the characteristic peak of berberine disappeared in the solid dispersion, indicating that berberine hydrochloride and Eudragit(R) S 100 interacted to form a new complex in amorphous form.
