Beagle is a Better Animal Model for the Study of the ABC Phenomenon Induced by Conventional Emulsion

Three different animal models (mice, rats and beagles) were used to study the accelerated blood clearance (ABC) phenomenon induced by conventional emulsion (CE).Results showed that CE could not induce the ABC phenomenon at different doses and in different time intervals between injection in mice and rats. However, CE could cause the ABC phenomenon in a dose-dependent(1-25 μmol phospholipidkg-1) and a time-dependent mannar in beagles.
