The reversal MDR effect study of cholesterol-coupled TPGS loaded DTX Micelles
In this study, a kind of novel TPGS derivative,cholesterol-coupled TPGS (TPGS-CHMC), was used to prepare micelles with Docetaxel (DTX) by a self-assembly method.A2780/r cells were used to evaluate the reversal MDR effect of the micelles. As a result, blank TPGS-CHMC micelles showed antitumor effect which was significantly stronger than Tween 80/DTX solution (P < 0.01) and the TPGS-CHMC/DTX micelles exhibited the highest inhibition rate for 72.32%.From the point of weight change, the blank TPGS-CHMC micelles were similar with normal saline, the weight rising slowly. However, the weight decreased slightly in the TPGS-CHMC/DTX micelles.
