The antioxidants selection of VK2 oral submicron emulsion by classical isothermal kinetic method

Through preliminary experiments, we found the results of using a single antioxidant that vitamin K2 oral submicro emulsion extending shelf life is not satisfactory.Therefore, we will use antioxidant and chelating agent in combination in order to obtain a longer validity period of preparation.We prepared four kinds of vitamin K2 formulations and their shelf life was predicted to choose the proper antioxidants and chelating agent.Arrhenius equation was used to predict the shelf life of each formulation.Results show that shelf life of formulation without antioxidant and metal ion chelating agent are only 36 days while calcium disodium edetate respectively with vitamin E and ascorbyl palmitate can prolong the shelf life to 2.13 and 2.36 years.
