Microdialysis as a novel determination of Encapsulation Efficiency of Zoledronic acid liposomes

　　The microdialysis was innovatively applied to the measurement of the free drug concentration in liposomes external phase, to determine the encapsulation efficiency of zoledronic acid liposomes (Zol LP).Systematic investigations of Zol recovery were conducted, to verify that the microdialysis was feasible to determine the encapsulation efficiency of Zol LP.Under an optimized condition, the Zol recovery of microdialysis was 1 0.40%, and the encapsulation efficiency of Zol LP was 7.88%.It was rational that the microdialysis was used in determination of encapsulation efficiency, when Zol was loaded in liposomes.For other drug-loaded nanopreparations, microdialysis also has the potential in the domain of determination in theory.
