A cyclic hexapeptide conjugated nanoparticles enhances curcumin delivery to the tumor vasculature and tumor cells

Herein we report the preparation and in-vitro evaluation of curcumin nanoparticles (CUR-NPs).To direct the curcumin nanoparticles to tumor, we applied a cyclic hexapeptide c (RGDf(N-me)VK)-C as the target ligand. The results showed the targeted CUR-NPs (c (RGDf(N-me)VK)-C modified) had a better binding and uptake ability than the targeted NPs (c (RGDf(N-me)V modified)and non-targeted NPs.
