Comparison of Ion Exchange Fiber and Resin in Liposomes Transmembrane Gradient Establishment and Entrapment Efficiency Determination

  To compare the effect of ion exchange fiber and ion exchange resin in liposomes transmembrane gradient establishment and entrapment efficiency determination, the liposomes prepared by pH gradient method, while cation exchange fiber/resin mini-column recovery and resolution were investigated.Results showed that entrapment efficiency increaced when anion exchange fiber was used to remove the external phase substances and establish the transmembrane gradient comparing with resin.Simultaneously, the recovery and resolution of cation exchange fiber were higher than resin.Showing that ion exchange fiber have more advantage to set up the liposomes transmembrane gradient and evaluate the entrapment efficiency.
