In vitro study of magnetically and pH responsive dendrosomes for tumor-targeted hybrid drug delivery

Magnetically and pH dual responsive dendrosomes were prepared by encapsulating magnetic nanoparticles and dendrimers in pH sensitive liposomes.In vitro release results showed the pH sensitivity of Mag-pH-DS.The hybrid vectors showed superior cellular uptake in slightly acid environments compared with in pH7.4 environments due to rapid release.In multicellular tumor spheroids tests (MCTSs), a slightly acidic environment and the application of magnet both promoted the permeation efficiency of the hybrid vectors.The multifunctional dendrosomes were demonstrated to have great potential as a promising anticancer drug delivery platform.
