The Role of NGOs in Publicizing Astronomical Science

摘要：

　　Astronomy has been of major interest among ancient Iranian scholars during the history.A quick review of major contributions made by Iranian scientists to science in general and astronomy, in particular, is presented.Contemporary situation is then explained focusing on relative motivation happened in the holy city of Mashhad (N-E of Iran) and around.Current activities and plans under consideration by national NGOs and local private sectors for reinforcing the positioning the astronomical activities and programs are then highlighted.
