The Effect of Working While in College on Labor Market Outcomes
This paper estimates the effect of working in college on labor market outcome such as employment and wage after graduation, controlling, age, gender, pare nts education level, location of university, major, and tenure.By using probit and log it model, we identify that working during college significantly increase the possibility of employment after graduation compared to people who do not graduate college.The results also show a positive relationship between hourly wage and working in college.These result reflects working during college enhance human capitals that can be related to labor market performances.
