The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Mechanism (whose abbreviation is Lancang-Mekong Mechanism as follows), formally established on November 12th, 2015, is an important practice advocated by China to promote neighboring diplomacy and advance regional cooperation.Before Lancang-Mekong Mechanism was set up, there are already many cooperation mechanisms existing in the Lancang-Mekong sub-region, thus some scholars even called this phenomenon mechanism jam.①
