Ⅰ.Historical Development of Communication between Chinas Yunnan and India Geographically, Yunnan is near the South Asian Sub-Continent, with mountains and rivers between them being mostly in north-south trend and the terrain along the rivers relatively flat.As a result, the longitudinal valley zones of Hengduan Mountains have been remaining the transport bond linking Yunnan with South Asia, Southeast Asia.
