Development of 2MWe Multi-fuel Supercritical Oxy CFBC in KIER

  In this study, fuel flexibility experiment and oxyfuel combustion experiment were carried out in the advanced 2 MWe circulating fluidized bed combustior (CFBC).This advanced 2 MWe CFBC was possible to stably inject a low-grade fuel having a low density such as solid reused fuel (SRF) and Bio-SRF.In addition, supercritical power generation technology has been applied to improve boiler efficiency.The steam flow rate of advanced 2 MWe CFBC boiler is 10 ton/h steam rate.The maximum steam quality is 450 ℃ and 235ata which is a supercritical steam.The boiler circuit was arranged as economizer → wall evaporator → cyclone separator →high pressure super heater 1 → high pressure super heater 2 → low pressure super heater 1 → low pressure super heater 2.The newly designed 2MWe Multi-fuel super critical CFBC is one of the world largest oxy combustion unit.This facility will serve as a hub center for low rank and bio fuel combustion.
