ULTRASONIC LAMB WAVES APPLIED IN NONDESTRACTIVE DAMAGE EVALUATION
Among nondestructive damage testing (NDT) and structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques, the Lamb wave based methods have shown great potential for fast damage detection in plate-like structures.In order to develop Lamb waves based NDE methods, we firstly study the signal processing methods to find a good time-frequency representation (TFR) for Lamb waves.Then, a multistage damage detection method without baseline is proposed for accurate damage detection.The method utilizes the same PZT configuration and data processing techniques in all stages and results from previous stages contribute to the improvement of damage detection in next stages.
