A RAPID AND NON-INVASIVE METHOD FOR MEASURING THE PEAK POSITIVE PRESSURE OF HIFU FIELD BASED ON ACOUSTO-OPTIC DEFLECTION EFFECT
In this paper, a laser detection method which can measure the peak pressure of HIFU fields rapidly and non-invasively is proposed.Based on the acousto-optic deflection effect, the linear and non-linear models of laser deflection under HIFU fields are established. The relation between the laser deflection length and the peak positive pressure is derived. The experimental results show that the laser deflection lengths are in good agreement with the theory under low sound pressure conditions.Under high sound pressure conditions, the results measured by the laser deflection method are slightly higher than that measured by the hydrophone. It proves that the method presented is feasible for accurate measurement of the sound pressure of the HIFU field. Moreover, the laser deflection method using higher order nonlinear model will be more accurate in pressure measurement of HIFU fields.
