RESONANTLY DRIVEN PIEZOELECTRIC PUMP WORKING UNDER A CERTAIN POWER FREQUENCY WITH A TUNING FORK-TYPE VIBRATOR

  A resonant-type piezoelectric pump working under a certain power frequency is designed, fabricated, and tested.The developed piezoelectric pump can be driven by a utility electric power system, and its flow rate can be adjusted using a potentiometer.Experimental results demonstrate that a maximum flow rate of 384 mL/min is obtained when the pump is driven by a sinusoidal voltage of 220 V at 50 Hz.The pump is characterized by a simple structure and low cost because it does not require a special power source.
