Mechanical Property Experiments of Fiber reinforced Recycled Concrete
In order to study the influence of fiber on performance of recycled aggregate concrete(RAC), the basic mechanical properties of RAC were investigated experimentally by adding different types of fibers and was compared with those of common concrete(CC), the basalt fiber(BF) optimal volume fractions to RAC were also studied.Experimental results show that the compressive and splitting tensile strength of RAC is higher than that of CC at equal mix proportion due to a lower effective w/c, non-optimal fraction and non-uniform distribution of fiber could make a decline on performance of RAC.The study on BF volume fractions show that the BF has less effect on the mechanical of RAC, even cause a declined. The BF optimal volume fractions on cube compressive, axial compressive, splitting tensile strength and elastic modulus are 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.2% and 0.2% respectively.
