The Relationship between the Chloride Diffusion Coefficient and the Non-steady-state Migration Coefficient in the Harden Concrete
The chloride diffusion coefficient in concrete is commonly measured from the 90-days salt ponding test. The 90-days salt ponding test is time-consuming and laborious. The chloride migration coefficient from non-steady-state migration experiment (NT BUILD 492;RCM) is the tests for the rapid qualitative assessment of chloride permeability of concrete. In order to have a reliable and simple method for determining the transport properties in concrete, it is import to develop the relationship between the migration coefficient from accelerated chloride electric-field method and the chloride diffusion coefficient. In this study, the chloride diffusion coefficient is obtained from ponding test and the non-steady-state migration is from the RCM.The result shows that the chloride diffusion coefficient obtained from ponding test and the non-steady-state migration coefficient from the chloride profile after RCM is linearly correlated.
