Study on the Protective Effect of Lithium Nitrite on Corroded Rebar

  The anticorrosive effect of lithium nitrite on corroded rebar was evaluated by the natural potential and the polarization resistance while immersed in simulated pore solution containing chloride ions.However, in the case of natural potential of rebar below-700mV, potential recovery was not possible even if nitrite additive amount was increased.Based on this fact, lithium nitrite was introduced in crack-repair concrete with corroded rebar.The inhibition of corrosion progress of repair method using nitrite and epoxy resin was better than the existing repair method using epoxy resin only.
