Prestress Losses of High-Strength Concrete Bridges with Different Fly Ash Content
In this paper, 50 groups of experimental data related to the shrinkage and creep of fly ash high strength concrete are selected from the Bazant-li-2013 database and applied to four used shrinkage and creep models (CEB-FIP2010 model, ACI209 model, GL2000 model, B3 model), and their prediction results are compared and analyzed. The results show that the MC2010 model has the best prediction accuracy for shrinkage and creep of fly ash high strength concrete, but the effect of fly ash content on shrinkage and creep of high strength concrete is not considered in the MC2010 model.Accordingly, the influence coefficient of shrinkage under different fly ash content as well as the influence coefficient of creep under different loading age and fly ash content is taken into consideration to modify the MC2010 model here.Afterwards, combined with an example of prestressing loss of a prestressed bridge, the calculation of prestressing loss is carried out by using the revised model in this paper and the recommended model from Chinese Code for Design of Highway Reinforced Concrete and Prestressed Concrete Bridges and Culverts on Highways. The calculation results show that with the prolongation of loading age, the total prestressing loss becomes smaller and the trend is the same. With the increase of the fly ash content in the prestressed concrete, the experimental values and the revised model calculation values both show that total prestressing loss decreases firstly and then increases, while the corresponding results show that the total prestressing loss only increases.
