Maintenance Strategy of Concrete Girder Bridges Based on Life-Cycle
Safe operation after the completion of concrete girder bridge becomes a major issue related to the benefit of peoples livelihood.A thesis of in-service highway concrete girder bridge in Fujian province is taken by the project background.A software system which is suitable for evaluation of the technical condition and formulation of the maintenance strategy in the life-cycle of concrete girder bridge is developed with referencing bridge inspection and maintenance standards at home and abroad.The maintenance time and method in the life-cycle of concrete girder bridge is also optimized by this thesis.The main research work and conclusions are as follows: First, the typical diseases of the coastal concrete girder bridges in Fujian province are analyzed based on the spot investigation.Then by using the method of combining qualitative and quantitative analysis, the reference tables of the five level classification of components and the score reference tables of distressed condition (such as bearing capacity, traffic capacity and technical condition of the bridges) are defined.So that the damage and maintenance effect of concrete girder bridge are quantified.At last, a developing maintenance scheme information system software of concrete girder bridge is designed and used basing on life-cycle.The result of the study shows that in the life-cycle, the maintenance strategy especially on preventive maintenance should be used more in concrete girder bridges.It can save the cost, and is more effective.
