Analysis of temperature field of composite electromagnetic launching rail
Due to tremendous current density of compound electromagnetic railgun emission and flow round of current will lead to the temperature rising and distribution unevenly of rail and armature.Applied force caused by temperature rising shows on the inside surface dear signs of wear and tear and even gouging which limits the service life.The paper draws to conclusion of current density distribution map of rail and armature by using the method of conformal mapping.Further research based on this achievement comes to the conclusion of rail temperature field according to the electromagnetic heating effect which analyzes temperature distribution under the action of flat head voltage.Deep study achieves temperature field of copper-based composite rail during launching state by making use of Comsol software simulating electromagnetic field and temperature field of electromagnetic railgun launching process, analyzes the effect of properties of composite materials and geometric parameter to rail and armature temperature distribution.
