An advanced launch concept using magnetic levitation and electromagnetic propulsion and solid launch vehicle

  Represented by Star Link plan of SpaceX, the application of space microsatellite constellations presents an outbreak trend, which demands cheap, rapid and reliable launch ways.In this paper, a new launch method using Magnetic Levitation and Electromagnetic Propulsion (MLEP) and solid launch vehicle is put forward.The concept and current development state are briefly introduced, the composition and work principles of the system are analyzed and the capabilities and key technologies of each subsystem are discussed.The results show that the using MLEP to launch microsatellite has the technical feasibility and commercial application value.
