The effect of the initial propellant temperature on drag reduction characteristics of base bleed projectile
In order to research the drag reduction characteristics and reduce the range dispersion of a base bleed projectile, the initial propellant temperature modified model, interior ballistic model and exterior ballistic model for the 155mm base bleed projectile are established.The drag reduction characteristics of a base bleed projectile are calculated and analyzed numerically by introducing the initial temperature sensitivity factor of the burning rate.The results show that the effect of the initial propellant temperature on the range is 10.05m/K, when the initial temperature changes by 1K and the range variable is 0.258%.
