Analysis on dynamic mechanical properties and its effect on combustion performance of propellant with high energy
In this paper, several kinds of high-energy gun propellants dynamic mechanical property were studied,which results can be used as the basis for the launch safety problem caused by propellant crushing of high-pressure gun.The sample propellant was loaded into a projectile container that launched at a certain velocity and the propellant was released and hit the taget plate and crushed.The crushed propellant was divided into diffenrent grades according to size,and different grades had different coefficient of burning surface increase.By means of the quality and coefficient of the crushed propellant at all levels, the mechanical property value of the increase degree of the propellant burning surface was calculated.The effect of mechanical property on the combustion performance of the propellant was studied by the closed bomb tests of the crushed propellant.
