Simulation and experimental study on fast cook-off of PBX explosive in strong constraint conditon
In order to study on the response of PBX explosive in strong constraint condition during fast cook-off,the simulation model was built by using Ls-Dyna to predict the ignition point and ignition time of charge, and the effect of flame radiation on charge ignition time was also analyzed.The fast cook-off verify testing was done, and the pressure in shell was measured when charge ignited.The testing results show that the pressure in shell rapid increased to hundreds MPa in few milliseconds, and the charge deflagrated because of the pressure in shell didnt release in time.In addition, to verify the accuracy of pressure measured by pressure sensor in the testing, the deformation of shell was calculated by using LS-Dyna with the measured pressure data, and the simulation results are well agree with the test results.
