Study of viscoelastic poissons ratio of HMX based PBX

  The viscoelastic Poissons ratio of HMX based PBX is studied to support the exact evaluation of structural integrity and safety of explosive parts.The experimental method of compression relaxation is adopted, and both of the axial and lateral strain is measured at room temperature so that the viscoelastic Poissons ratio is calculated.The experimental results show that the viscoelastic Poissons ratio of the material increases from 0.362 to 0.391 during 2h relaxation time.Variation regulation of density of the material in the experiment is analyzed and the results show that the density increased by 0.084% during the relaxation process.A three-dimensional viscoelastic constitutive relation is established based on the viscoelastic Poissons ratio curve and the stress relaxation curve, which could be used for numerical simulation.
