Time evolution of irreversible volume expansion and mechanical properties of TATB-based PBX under thermal fatigue loading
Aiming at the environmental adaptability of PBX structure under temperature cycling conditions, 100 cycles thermal fatigue (55℃→ 0℃, 0.5 ℃/min) experiment were performed, the irreversible volume expansion, variation of density and mechanical properties of TATB-based PBX under temperature cycling were studied.It has been found that the irreversible expansion of TATB-based PBX occurs mainly in the first five cycles of thermal fatigue, and the density decreases with increasing thermal fatigue cycles.The mechanical performance have significantly deteriorated in the early stage of thermal fatigue.As the number of thermal fatigue increases, the mechanical properties no longer significantly change.
