Diffusion flame model in terminal ballistics calculation of ammunition based on reaction materials
The possibility of using fluoroplastic as a reactive material capable of replacing explosives in ammunition used to defeat lightly armored and easily vulnerable targets is considered. The article reflects the results of experiments and mathematical modeling of the penetration process of fluoroplastic ammunition into targets from light alloys. To account for the additional energy released as a result of the interaction during the simulation, the counterflow diffusion flame (CDF) method was used.
