Effect of flame stabilization structure on flow field of Al/AP powder engine
To investigate the effect of flame stabilization structure on the flow characteristics of Al/AP powder engine combustion chamber.Three dimensional numerical simulation of the flow field in the combustion chamber of an Al/AP powder engine with a diaphragm plate or a flame holder was conducted to compare with common structure and investigate the differences in the fluidization condition and influence of diaphragm plate and flame holder on combustion chamber flow and combustion efficiency of particles.The results show that the flame stabilized structure can improve the fluidization of the powder, and make the flame more full and the combustion efficiency of particles increase to 1.6~2 times.
