Experiment and FEM simulation of supercavitation bullet penetrating protective plate

  Data capture in water experiments is difficult due to many uncertain factors underwater.So the efficient FEM (finite element model) simulation is essential to conduct engineering design and relative works.Comparing experiment and simulation phenomena, a group of effective physical material parameters can be verified effectively.Based on these simulation physical material parameters, a double-layer manganese steel target penetration effect is predicted in a vertical and oblique way in the air.And using the predicted limit velocity, the relation between initial velocity and safety displacement can be calculated by theory in water which targets to use the double-layer high manganese steel.The result is useful to conduct the engineering design.
