Numerical simulation analysis of explosively formed projectile based on ALE method

  The numerical simulation of explosively formed projectile was studied using ALE algorithm in finite element analysis software LS-DYNA.Through numerical simulation, the influences of three different initiation methods, ie, central point detonation, five-point simultaneous detonation and nine-point simultaneous detonation, on the EFP explosion forming process and performance parameters were studied.The results show that at the same time, the aspect ratio of the EFP projectile at the multi point detonation is larger, and the circumferential crushing is increased, and the multi-point initiation can significantly increase the speed of the EFP.
