Simulation and experimental study on threshold of EFP impacting initiation to covered composition H6
The results of pulse X-ray optical photography showed that the forming ability of EFP was good, and the shape of the EFP was a typical warhead.The model of the EFP for simulation was obtained by using the Canny edge detection method.By using AUTODYN, the detonation growth time and detonation growth distance of explosives under different impact pressures were calculated by Lee-Tarver ignition growth model.Using damage unit generator load variety, a single piece of EFP impacting the 10mm steel covered H6 charge experiment was studied.The specific kinetic energy of EFP was used as characterization parameters of detonation threshold.The results of the numerical simulation and experiment were analyzed and summarized.The specific kinetic energy of detonation threshold of EFP impacting 10mm steel covered composition H6 was 36 MJ/m2.
