Approximate analysis on temperature rise in charge explosive during projectile penetration of a multilayer target

In order to study the effect of charge temperature by stress wave propagation during projectile penetration in a multilayer target, the theoretical model was set up, which can calculate the plastic deformation or elastic deformation of charge by stress wave and the charge temperature rise.It is concluded that the stress wave is a cause of charge temperature rise. The maximum temperature rise and its location in the charge explosive are dependent on the physical parameters of charge and charge length and initial stress wave and target layer. The location of maximum temperature rise generally is the head of charge or the junction of plastic deformation and elastic deformation.
